Can Medical Doctors Work With Chiropractors

Hi everyone, Dr. Rosemarie Jabbour from New World Chiro.
I would like to talk to you today about how we can work together with other health professionals. We do this in order to help you achieve your health goal and to better help you.
I’ll share with you one of my personal experiences that shows that Medical Doctors can work with chiropractors.
A few years ago a medical centre opened up next door to my chiropractic clinic. Of course we struck up a friendship because they needed help with council to get the approval through to get their medical practice up and running and I helped with council to get that approval.
We became good friends.
His wife, who is a Medical Doctor as well, one Saturday morning came into the clinic with a massive migraine and of course I assessed her, took x-rays of her, adjusted her and helped her a great deal.
From then on, whenever they would have a patient with a headache or a migraine, her husband who was the other medical doctor in the clinic, would literally hold the patient’s hand and bring them straight into my clinic and say:
“You need to see Dr. Jabbour, she’s going to assess you and address your headaches for you”
That was actually really nice to see that they recognised that I may help in that respect.
And of course, if there was something I couldn’t help with I would refer right next door and tell my patients, go in next door to the doctors and they will help you with that.
So, chiropractors do work very closely with other health professionals.
I’ve also worked with Orthopaedic surgeons very closely. We can refer to them if the patient needs surgery.
